Justteachers are working with a thriving secondary school in Leeds who are seeking a flexible and proactive individual to take on a dual role as a full-time Cover Supervisor and Teaching Assistant to start immediately, this role has the potential to go permanent for the right applicant .
In this mixed role, youll be stepping in to cover lessons during teacher absence and providing targeted support to students in and out of the classroom. Youll work closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive learning environment and help students stay engaged and on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour effectively
Provide small group or 1:1 support to students who need additional help
Assist with differentiated learning and classroom activities
Support students with SEND or those at risk of disengagement
Liaise with teaching staff to monitor progress and provide feedback
