Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for resident doctors to join the Tier 1 paediatric and neonatal team. Successful applicants will gain experience in the sub-regional neonatal intensive care centre (SuRNICC) and the Children’s Unit in North Wales.
Applicants are invited for a full-time Tier 1 post. Successful applicants will join either the 1:9 neonatal rota or the 1:10 paediatric rota.
Main duties of the job

In neonates, responsibilities include attending deliveries, managing acute admissions, and examining newborns on the post-natal ward. Opportunities to participate in baby clinics and joint specialist clinics are available for outpatient experience. Clinical duties are shared among nine first-on-call staff and rotated regularly.
In paediatrics, responsibilities are shared among ten first-on-call staff and include managing acute admissions to the children’s unit with close senior supervision.
