Client Name: University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust
Role: Consultant or Clinical Fellow Neuro Diagnostic Radiologist
Shifts: Start ASAP for up to 12 months initially. Equipment used available on request.
* Monday-Friday - acute neuro reporting (Emergency Dept and Inpatients), head/neck Ultrasound, oncology/OutPatients, evening on-call - 2-3 hours scan checking (SpR reports)
* Saturday and Sunday - 9 hours, up to 100 scans per 24 hours, CT and MR, plain, angio, venogram, MR head/spine
* Must be a specialist neuroradiologist with trauma, post-surgical imaging, angiography, perfusion experience
Location: Staffordshire
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:
* GMC registered Doctor (not necessarily on the Specialist Register)
* FRCR
* Relevant consultant-level experience or references
* Evidence of right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
* Enhanced DBS check

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
* Use imaging to diagnose, treat, and manage medical conditions.
* Provide expertise and guidance to medical staff.
* Coordinate with staff to ensure quality care.
* Select appropriate radiology techniques and perform minimally invasive procedures.
* Support and communicate with patients and families.
* Lead or work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Assess patient needs and delegate tasks.
* Monitor patient conditions and report changes.
* Perform administrative tasks as needed.
