Adept Resourcing Commercial Division is recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join our client's dynamic team in Irvine, Scotland.
Our client, a leader in the supply chain and logistics sector, specialises in providing high-quality products and services to global markets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth export and import operations, ensuring customers receive their orders on time and in full.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate transport for export customers, ensuring on-time delivery of customer orders.
2. Manage the import entry process and arrange uplift from the supply chain.
3. Expedite and file all relevant documentation relating to shipments when required.
4. Prepare accurate documentation in line with customer and HMRC requirements.
5. Communicate shipping details to customers and work with freight forwarders to arrange timely, cost-effective shipments.
6. Work closely with internal teams to ensure orders are on schedule.
7. Supply customers with all required documentation before and after dispatch.
Skills, Experience & Attributes:
1. Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
2. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
3. Strong understanding of customer requirements and a proactive approach to service.
4. Team player with the initiative to work independently.
5. Positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
6. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
7. Keen to develop skills and improve processes.
Additional Requirements:
1. Experience in import/export procedures and entries.
2. Strong administrative skills.
3. Knowledge of import/export documentation and shipment methods (road, airfreight, sea freight, courier).
4. Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
