Robert Half Technology are assisting a market-leading retail organisation to recruit an Okta Engineer on a contract basis. Remote working - UK based.
Role
* The Okta Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using Okta Identity Cloud or Okta Identity Governance.
* Collaborate with IT, security, and application teams to meet IAM requirements and ensure secure access to retail systems and applications.
* Integrate Okta with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), directory services (Active Directory, LDAP), and SaaS or custom retail applications.
* Build and maintain Okta workflows, automation, and SCIM integrations.
* Develop technical design documents, integration patterns, and enforce IAM policies in line with security best practices.
* Troubleshoot and resolve IAM issues efficiently, ensuring compliance and governance standards are met.
* Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in identity management and security.
Profile
* Expertise in Okta Identity Cloud (SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory) or Okta Identity Governance.
* Strong understanding of IAM principles including RBAC, privileged access, and identity governance.
* Proficiency in authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect.
* Hands-on experience with Okta Workflows, SCIM, automation, and integrating Okta with various platforms.
* Familiarity with web technologies: XML, JSON, REST.
* Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and implement identity governance strategies.
* Okta Certified Engineer or Consultant preferred.
* 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Okta Identity Cloud or Okta Identity Governance.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
