SEMH Supply Teacher – East Lancashire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Days: Sporadic/Flexible (as required)
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

We are currently looking for a flexible, resilient, and committed SEMH Supply Teacher to work across a range of specialist and mainstream settings in East Lancashire.
This role involves working with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, often in alternative provision or tailored educational environments. The work is day-to-day and may vary week to week, depending on school needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering pre-planned lessons or adapting materials to suit individual needs
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively using trauma-informed and relational approaches
* Supporting the emotional and academic progress of pupils with SEMH needs
* Collaborating with support staff and SENCOs to ensure consistent provision
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – desirable but not essential for strong unqualified teachers with experience
* Experience working with students with SEMH, behavioural needs or in alternative provision
* Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with challenging learners
* Flexible and confident in working across different schools and settings
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
