Catering Driver - Ref: EE00226 Salary G4 £13.68-£14.58 per hour (Term time only) 18 hours per week -39 weeks per year Mon 9am-2.05pm Tue 10.10am-2.05pm Wed-Fri 10.15am-2.05pm Please note that work hours are indicative of the requirements of the post. Start and end times may vary slightly (within the hours stated) dependant on the needs of the service. Walsall Catering services are looking to appoint an experienced driver to join our in-house catering team. You will be required to have previous commercial driving experience as you will travel daily across the Walsall borough. A full driver's license is required and a driver assessment will form part of the recruitment process. You will be required to collect food/other items from production areas and transport them to schools across the borough. This may involve handling numerous large heavy boxes of food and trays, cutlery utensils and any other food or equipment required daily. We are looking for hard working flexible applicants who have no problem with heavy lifting or manual handling and have an awareness of health & safety. You must be able to work to extremely tight deadlines, be a good team player and have good interpersonal skills. The successful applicants will have the ability to communicate effectively with customers, be self-reliant, and well organised. Posts are covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.
