Role Description
We are looking for a Risk Selection Senior Analyst to join a newly created Motor Risk Selection team within the Retail Portfolio Pricing and Underwriting team. This is a hybrid role and can be worked from one of our offices in London, Birmingham, Leeds or Bournemouth.
We’re excited to bring together the disciplines of pricing and portfolio underwriting into one Retail Portfolio Pricing and Underwriting team. The team will be responsible for direct motor and road rescue products under the Allianz brands, with skills in pricing, underwriting, and data analytics.
You will participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management, while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Allianz Insurance offers a study package for the actuarial qualification through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information
Circa £50,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of our total reward package.
About You
* Support management of underwriting rules for retail motor and road rescue products.
* Analyze opportunities to expand or contract underwriting footprint.
* Monitor quotability and report on KRIs related to footprint.
* Create proposals to modify underwriting rules and implement changes within Radar Live.
* Identify opportunities to improve claims cost prediction models.
* Perform actual vs. expected claims monitoring to detect significant deviations.
* Conduct deep dives into specific niches and recommend technical model adjustments.
* Support the development of underwriting capabilities on retail motor products.
Essential Skills
While not expected to know everything from day one, you should be an advocate for change and innovation, demonstrate the value of risk selection to the business, and use judgment in assessing risks in new segments. You should be invested in data analytics and statistics, with expertise in at least one of:
* Underwriting guides, rules, product structures, and coverage
* Pricing
* Data analytics and statistics
