We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our Outpatients team on a flexible bank contract. In this hands-on role, you will use your clinical expertise to carry out vital diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, intraocular pressure measurements, and more. You’ll play a key role in capturing accurate data, interpreting results, and supporting our consultants in providing informed, timely treatment for patients with a range of eye and neurological conditions. About you: Experienced in an ophthalmology or healthcare setting Technically skilled, with a keen eye for detail and a confident approach to diagnostic testing People-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills IT proficient, and confident in handling patient data Proactive, eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest ophthalmic procedures and technologies Aligned with our core values: Caring, Friendly, Quality, Integrity, and Pride Location: The McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead Contract Type: Zero-hours / Bank Hours: offering complete flexibility to anyone looking to take on additional hours with shifts offered between 7.30am to 7.00pm Hourly Rate: £16.90 per hour with enhanced pay for nights, weekends, and bank holidays Right to work in the UK In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencing employment.
