Role Overview
The Head of Events & Projects holds a key voluntary leadership position within Salford Pride, responsible for strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of all Pride-branded events and projects.

What We Are Looking For
Skills and Experience: Proven experience in event management, project leadership, or volunteer coordination, preferably in non-profit or community settings. Strong leadership, organisational, planning, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of risk management and health & safety standards. Experience with sponsorship development is a plus. Passion for inclusivity, community empowerment, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic volunteer environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning, development, and execution of events and projects.
* Manage and motivate the Events Team volunteers.
* Develop innovative event concepts and present proposals.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk standards.
* Coordinate with other departments to maximise engagement.
* Assist with sponsorship acquisition and relationship management.
* Monitor budgets and resource allocation.
* Provide regular updates to leadership and trustees.
* Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all activities.
* Facilitate post-event reviews for continuous improvement.
