Exciting Opportunity for a Year 2 1:1 SEND Support Role!
Are you passionate about supporting children with SEND and making a positive difference in their educational journey? We have an AMAZING opportunity for you!
Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Support professional to work 1:1 with a Year 2 student who requires additional support. Previous experience working with children with SEND is a must, and you must be flexible, adaptable, and ready to make a real impact in this child’s learning experience.
The school is an OFSTED rated Good mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. They are looking for enthusiastic and nurturing SEN support staff who can develop good relationships with children with additional needs.
Location: Hodge Hill
Start Date: After Easter, until July
Working Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 1:30PM (including a lunch shift)
What you’ll be doing:
Providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 student
Helping with tasks in the classroom, ensuring full engagement
Tailoring your support to meet the students individual needs
Assisting with lunchtime coverage
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications
Previous experience working in a UK school – in either permanent or long-term roles
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST :
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
