We are delighted to be working alongside our client who is looking for an Assistant Marine Workshop Coordinator who will be responsible for liaising with management, workshop, managing, planning, and coordinating of workshop based tasks & during docking and maintenance of vessels. Key Responsibilities: Planning and Coordination: Liaising with management, reviewing vessel / customer requirements, coordinating with workshop & ensuring job timescales are met Maintenance and Repairs: Overseeing & undertaking of marine technical maintenance, marine overhauls, and marine repairs for various vessel types. Resource Management: Liaising between management, vessel owners/managers/superintendents and sub-contractors. Requirements and Skills: Proven experience in a marine engineering or technical role within a shipyard/dry dock, typically within marine vessels / ship repair & ferry/tug/windfarm industries. Strong understanding & good knowledge of marine engineering, stern gear, pumping systems, propulsion systems & gearboxes is essential. Qualified in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
