Total remuneration: from 1st April- £47,590.16-£54,482.88
Pay Supplement: The base salary for this role is £41,026-£46,968. This job qualifies for a Digital, Data and Technology Annual Pay supplement, 16% is included in the total remuneration above.
Pension: 28.97% of total remuneration from 1st April (RoS contribution)
Annual leave: 38 days annual holiday, increasing to 42 days with length of service.
Duration: Permanent
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week. We are a flexible employer and will consider a variety of working patterns on a case-by-case basis.

The Role
An experienced Data Engineer is required to join the Data Engineering team, part of the wider Data & Analytics function at Registers of Scotland. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the RoS data warehouse, building robust data pipelines, data transformation processes and bespoke data products to support the needs of our internal and external stakeholders and customers.
On a typical day you will…
* Work independently and as part of a small Agile delivery team to deliver secure, robust, scalable and adaptable software solutions
* Contribute to the development of data integration, processing, and transformation solutions which adhere to RoS’ technical standards and principles
* Actively participate in team/agile events, supporting the team to improve their processes
* Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet user requirements
* Deliver solutions through the full lifecycle from inception to deployment
* Maintain and support existing systems and find, document and debug issues
* Understand the business context and value of the enduring solutions you are involved in developing
* Create and maintain supporting technical and business documentation
