The Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager Opportunity in Cambridge
You'll join a collaborative and forward-thinking Audit & Assurance team, managing a diverse portfolio with a 70% audit / 30% accounts and tax split. Clients range from dynamic owner-managed businesses to AIM-listed groups.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring delivery to high technical standards.
* Manage a mixed portfolio across audit, accounts, and tax compliance.
* Prepare and review financial statements under UK GAAP / FRS 102 and review corporation tax computations.
* Supervise, train, and develop junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
* Assist senior managers and partners on larger, complex audit assignments.
* Monitor WIP, billing, and budgets, ensuring strong commercial awareness.
* Build trusted client relationships, providing proactive support and advice.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings both technical confidence and people skills, and values an environment that respects balance as much as achievement:
* Qualified ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CA (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in UK audit, with involvement across planning, execution, and review.
* Strong understanding of UK GAAP / FRS 102 (IFRS exposure a plus).
* Excellent communicator, capable of building lasting client relationships.
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
* Commercially aware, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Confident user of CaseWare and Microsoft Office packages.
