Maintenance Engineer – Gravesend, Kent
Monday to Friday days, 37.5 hours (flexible working hours). Salary: £60,000. Senior Engineer role with a well-respected, well-established manufacturing business that has a friendly, family feel. The maintenance engineer will take a senior engineer role, mainly keeping the plant running and minimizing downtime, and will support on dealing with contractors, work permits, ordering parts and mentoring a junior engineer.
We are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias who can confidently support a wide variety of production machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, reducing downtime and contributing to ongoing improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks
* Rapidly diagnose and repair breakdowns
* Mentor younger engineers
* Support automated and semi-automated production lines
* Work with various process and production machinery
* Identify improvement opportunities and work to KPIs
Skills & Experience Required
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
* Strong hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-skilled team
* A proactive mindset suited to a modern maintenance engineer role
