We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer / PV installer / Renewables Electrician with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience to join our growing team.
Based from home you will be working on site (residential and commercial) covering the area around Doncaster, Sheffield and York.
The role is offered with a basic salary of £35 - £45K, DOE, with fully expensed company van provided.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, and experience with solar panel installation, battery storage, and EV charger installations. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial installations, ensuring that all systems are installed safely and efficiently.
You will be a qualified electrician and be able to sign off your own work.
Ideally you will have worked with Solax systems, and Tesla systems.
Responsibilities
* Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
* Install battery storage solutions.
* Install EV charging stations.
* Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
* Perform electrical work, including high voltage and low voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with NEC standards.
* Sign-off of all work.
* Conduct fixture installations and assist with plumbing tasks as needed.
* Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols.
* Troubleshoot issues that arise during installation or maintenance of solar systems.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years experience as a PV installer.
* Qualified electrician.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
* Familiarity with NEC codes and regulations related to solar installations.
* Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
* Experience using hand tools, power tools etc.
* Previous roofing experience is preferred for safe installation practices on rooftops.
* Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
* A commitment to safety practices on construction sites is essential.
