Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist in Echocardiography, Clydebank
This post provides an excellent opportunity for an accredited Echocardiographer to join the team at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital. The unit is one of the most advanced Cardiac Ultrasound services in the UK. This position offers the chance to work with the latest ultrasound technology, utilizing cutting-edge imaging modalities such as 4D ventricle volumetric and mitral valve quantification, Strain analysis, 4D TOE, and Exercise and pharmacological Stress Echo. The department is supported by three Consultant Cardiologists (including one full-time in Imaging) and an Associate Specialist, with regular clinical and governance sessions to incorporate current knowledge and guidelines into routine practice. The department aims to achieve Echo Quality Framework accreditation, including BSE and European Departmental standards.
The Echocardiography team supports national services including Adult Congenital, Pulmonary Vascular, Heart Failure, Heart Transplant, Cardiac Surgical Services, and Structural Interventional Services.
This is a permanent, 37-hour per week position with flexible working arrangements. Experience in developing and delivering education and training in Echocardiography is required, as it is a regular aspect of the role.
