Join to apply for the Hourly Paid Community Learning Coach role at Walsall College
We are looking for Community Learning Coaches to work with members of the community across Walsall who, for a range of reasons, are not yet able to access provision in one of Walsall Colleges campuses.
Responsibilities
* Work with some of the most vulnerable members of the community to build confidence, increase resilience and break down barriers to learning.
* Deliver a range of engaging confidence-building sessions to small groups to prepare adults to progress into formal learning programmes.
* Respond flexibly to changing demands of work through variation in working times and the availability of new technology; there may be a requirement to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
* Offer practical activities as part of engagement, including: Basic cooking, Sewing, Beauty, Gardening, Arts and crafts, Social care, Basic IT skills.
Qualifications / Skills
* Ability to offer any of the following practical activities as listed above (essential).
