What you’ll be doing As an integral part of the OE team, you'll be responsible for the assembly & test of various mechanical products and sub-assemblies to support the manufacture of the final unit for delivery to our customers in accordance with engineering drawings and build manuals. You’ll be comfortable working towards deadlines and performance targets. You’ll have a passion for lean methodologies, continuous improvement and furthering your own personal education. Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities include: Assembling various mechanical products and sub-assemblies using the correct tools, documentation, and procedures. Compliance with production processes and procedures, production schedules and recording standards using business IT systems (i.e. ERP/MRP). Assembling and inspecting top level LRU's using the correct tools, documentation, and procedures. Carrying out testing of the assemblies including both environmental and final test requirements using and adhering to controlled test procedures. Ensure finished products conform to quality standards to enable progression to inspection and release process. Demonstrates personal behaviours that underpin and support a safe working environment. Education/Qualifications: Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship an advantage and preferred. Experience: You’ll have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment with mechanical products and special processes. You'll have a good understanding of written instructions, schematic drawings, specifications, work orders and engineering documentation. You'll be able to demonstrate excellent dexterity due to the small mechanical parts needed in assembly and attention to detail, and in addition to being computer literate. Aerospace experience, working within a Part 21G or CofC environment an advantage and preferred.
