Role Summary
Stratx is offering a 3-month Data Analyst Internship for motivated individuals seeking to apply data analysis in a real business context. This remote internship, based in Sheffield, is a paid opportunity at £16/hour. You will work on projects that support business strategy, process optimisation, and data-driven decision making, while developing key technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform data wrangling and cleansing to prepare datasets for analysis.
* Use SQL and Python to extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources.
* Build dashboards and visualisations to present insights clearly.
* Apply statistical methods to identify trends, correlations, and business opportunities.
* Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to turn analysis into actionable recommendations.
Required Qualifications
* Current student or recent graduate in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
* Basic proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Interest in visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
* Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with predictive analytics or machine learning libraries.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Prior internship, placement, or project experience in data analysis.
