Test Engineer II
Business Insider is hiring a Test Engineer II to join our Test Engineering team to ensure product quality through comprehensive testing.

The Role & Team
As a Test Engineer II, you will execute testing to uncover defects and ensure product quality through meticulous manual testing techniques.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects with limited complexity under the guidance of senior engineers while developing a strong understanding of our products and system architecture.
This role reports directly to the Test Engineering Manager and sits on the Test Engineering team. This role will be hybrid remote in Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform testing of features to advocate for business and stakeholder intentions, uncover defects, and ensure product quality
2. Develop and refine test cases adhering to best practices with adequate direction and coordination
3. Collaborate with Test Automation Engineers to identify effective automation test candidates
4. Contribute to existing documentation of team features and testing standards
The Ideal Candidate Has
5. Experience in testing in web-based applications
6. Familiarity with industry standards around UXD practices
7. Ability to perform manual web service/API testing using tools like Postman or Evans
8. Strong communication skills to handle criticism with maturity and learn from feedback
9. Eagerness to find ways to improve and solicit feedback from others
10. Experience with Test Case Management systems such as Testmo
11. 3rd level degree in a computing-related course or equivalent experience
