Overview
Tower veterinary group prides itself on great care both for animals and their owners. We are looking for a customer-focused individual to support our reception team at three branches: Fulford Road, Haxby and Acomb. This role involves telephone, face-to-face and electronic communication, and requires other administration capabilities. Veterinary industry experience would be a bonus but is not essential. The role is in a fast-paced, sometimes pressurised environment within a team, with a passion for great customer care.
We are looking for one 40-hour-per-week position; part-time applicants on a job share will also be considered. The role will be at any of our three branches as required.
Responsibilities
* Provide reception duties across three branches (Fulford Road, Haxby, and Acomb).
* Handle telephone, face-to-face and electronic communications.
* Support a fast-paced, customer-focused reception environment.
* Travel to various sites if required and work a flexible rota.
* Assist with general administrative tasks as part of the reception team.
* Cover holidays and sickness as needed with short-notice flexibility.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience: Veterinary Reception (2 years, preferred); Customer service (2 years, preferred); Administrative (2 years, preferred); Reception (2 years, preferred).
* Experience in a veterinary setting is a bonus but not essential.
* A full, valid driving license is required due to travel between sites.
Work Schedule and Location
* Hours: 40 hours per week; part-time job-share considered.
* Locations: at any of the three branches as required.
* Working hours: 8:00am – 7:00pm, Monday to Friday, on a flexible rota released a month in advance; 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:30am – 12:30pm.
* Travel between sites and flexibility for holidays and sickness cover.
