Overview
Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Programme/Project Controls Manager to lead teams delivering controls services (cost, schedule, risk, change and reporting). Reports to the PMO Director. This role supports a hybrid work environment and is based at Jacobs offices; regular site visits are required.
Responsibilities
* Lead teams to deliver world-class controls services to clients.
* Collaborate with the client and internal project management teams to implement project controls related to scope, time, cost and quality.
* Ensure deliverables meet contractual and business standards; keep projects within approved time and cost limits; align with client strategy and budget.
* Assist the Project Director and delivery team; build strong relationships and provide performance insights; track progress and issues; promote consistent measures.
* Provide leadership to inspire and coordinate the team; offer tactical and strategic support to achieve goals and deliver tangible results.
Qualifications
* Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading teams and advising senior colleagues to meet business objectives.
* Project Controls Expertise: Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards across all project phases.
* Schedule and Change Management: Proven ability to implement effective schedule management and change control processes.
* NEC Contracts Knowledge: Solid understanding of NEC contracts.
* Qualifications: Degree educated and holding appropriate professional membership.
* Best Practice Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of policies, processes, and procedures for effective management.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in senior-level presentations.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Primavera P6, Safran, ThinkProject/CEMAR, and Microsoft Suite up to PowerBI.
Requirements/Preferences
* Possible roles previously held: Project Services Manager, Schedule Manager, Risk Manager, Cost Manager, PMO, Project Engineer, Digital Transformation Lead or Digital Project Manager.
* Hybrid work environment; 40-hour week standard.
* Based at London, Reading, Birmingham, or Bristol; regular site visits required.
