Legal & Regulatory Lawyer Position
We are recruiting a qualified lawyer to join our in-house Risk & Compliance team within the Legal & Regulatory department. This role offers flexible working options from any of our UK offices, including Bristol, London, Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Birmingham.
Your Role
As a vital team member, your responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on risk-related issues
* Supporting Directors of Risk with strategic and operational matters, root cause analysis, transformational projects, and reporting to senior stakeholders
* Advising on professional regulations (SRA, Law Society of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland) and reporting to the COLP when necessary
* Reviewing, updating, and communicating firm-wide policies
* Reviewing client engagement terms and bid proposals
* Assisting with claims and notifications to Professional Indemnity insurers
* Handling complaints per firm procedures
Your Skills & Experience
We seek:
* A qualified solicitor interested in law firm regulation, risk, and compliance
* Experience in professional liability/risk, contract reviews, and law firm regulation; in-house experience is a plus
* An analytical, communicative, and organized thinker who is solutions-focused and capable of managing priorities independently
* A collaborative team player eager to contribute to the development of junior staff
