Job Title: Facilities Suite & Elastomer Maintenance Mechanic Level III
Location: Portsmouth, NH 03801 (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $28 Per hour on W2
Shift Timing:
Currently, the client's suite maintenance team works 12-hour shifts, with a 3- and 4-day pattern. Shift A works Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Shift B works Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday. For training, new workers will initially work M-F, 8-4:30 pm, for the first 90 days before shifting to regular hours.
Job Description:
The Facilities Suite & Elastomer Maintenance Mechanic Level III supports Engineering Services by operating and checking daily on maintenance equipment/systems, assisting higher-level mechanics with repairs, and ensuring compliance with SOPs. This role involves routine and advanced troubleshooting, record-keeping for GMP compliance, and working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. The technician will perform diagnostic troubleshooting with minimal guidance.
* Understand and apply core SOPs, perform work safely following GMP guidelines, SOPs, and work instructions.
* Execute preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and systems.
* Maintain maintenance areas in audit-ready condition.
* Keep training current related to job responsibilities.
* Manage elastomer program tasks including package creation, spares requisition, LOTO boundaries, and work execution.
* Utilize CMMS for documenting maintenance activities.
* Understand spare parts policies and procedures.
* Apply Quality systems such as DMS and Trackwise.
* Participate in safety training and use tools and equipment safely.
* Read and interpret equipment schematics, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
* Collaborate with Reliability & Engineering on projects, assist with root cause analysis.
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Achieve proficiency according to the skills matrix, with specific score requirements.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* HS Diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to use hand tools and learn to read complex mechanical drawings.
* Basic computer skills.
* Ability to understand and apply SOPs continually.
* Knowledge of shop math, reading, and writing skills.
* Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge.
