A major UK infrastructure organisation is seeking a Head of Local Economic Development to lead the economic strategy for a large-scale expansion programme. The role is a 12 month contract, Inside IR35, requiring 3 days in the office (TW6)
The Role
Lead the development and delivery of an Economic Development Strategy, ensuring measurable benefits for local communities, businesses and the wider economy.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the Economic Development Strategy aligned to planning requirements
* Deliver the Economic Development Framework within a major planning submission
* Oversee socioeconomic analysis, impact assessments and external consultants
* Shape initiatives across skills, employment, SMEs and local growth
* Engage with regulators, local authorities and business stakeholders
* Embed social value, inclusive growth and economic impact measurement
About You
* Senior experience in economic development, regeneration or socioeconomic planning
* Strong stakeholder management across public and private sectors
* Skilled in economic analysis, forecasting and social value
* Experience in large infrastructure or planning environments (desirable)
* Happy to go to the office 3 days per week, TW6 postcode
