The Role
As Senior Immigration Lawyer you will provide legal advice on litigation. Your responsibilities include advising on public law litigation across government departments and public bodies, including the Home Office and Immigration Division. You will support the Deputy Director and Senior Lawyers in leading the team through training, projects and corporate opportunities. Additionally, you will work with external partners to ensure quality litigation delivery within budget and on time.
All GLD employees must hold BPSS security clearance. If successful you must obtain and hold BPSS level security clearance before starting your position. You can work full‑time, part‑time or as part of a job share.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of public law and experience or aptitude for litigation. A background in immigration law is desirable. You will bring reliable legal judgment, risk appreciation, creative strategic thinking, and confident communication skills. Familiarity with government lawyers and cross‑departmental collaboration is essential.
