We spend more time in our workplaces (and with our colleagues) than we do with our own families. And yet, how often do we stop to ask: what really drives me?
Everyone needs a job, but not every job gives you the chance to make a difference.
Working in education isn’t for everyone. You won’t find the sky-high salaries of the commercial world here, but if you’re driven by purpose, by impact, you’ll be rewarded in far more meaningful ways.
This Multi Academy Trust believes every student deserves to learn in an environment that inspires them. That’s why they’re growing their portfolio, and that’s why they’ve created this brand-new role, to help improve and maintain schools that aren’t just compliant, but truly transformational.
Working from home, you’ll be responsible for five academies in the West London region. You’ll be the go-to estates expert for the region, leading capital projects, shaping space strategy, and embedding sustainable practice, all while building genuine partnerships with school leaders. This is about showing schools not just where they are today, but helping shape where they need to go in the future.
Supported by an FM and guiding the on-site school facilities teams, you’ll focus on development, tactical planning, and operational oversight of school estates, ensuring they meet educational demands and regulatory compliance.
Here’s what’s in it for you: you’ll have real strategic influence, working directly with principals and regional leaders. You’ll have the freedom to own your schedule and take projects from concept to delivery. The decisions you make will shape estates in a way that improves learning and helps steer the direction young people take. You’ll be backed by brilliant internal teams, H&S, Finance, Education, so you’re never on your own. You’ll also get to drive sustainability and support the Trust’s ESG goals.
And more than anything, you’ll be part of a mission-driven culture where your work has real, visible meaning. You’ll need to have a track record in estates or facilities management and bring the passion and desire to work in education.
