Job Description
3. Maintain accurate financial records, including posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing ledgers.
4. Assist with month-end and year-end processes, including preparing trial balances and supporting schedules.
5. Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
6. Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
7. Support the preparation of financial reports and liaise with external accountants or auditors as needed.
8. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
9. Assist with budgeting and cash flow monitoring.
10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve queries promptly.
The Successful Applicant
This successful bookkeeper will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and experience in a similar role. You'll be confident using accounting software, managing ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing VAT returns. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
