Overview
There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to be a Professional and Practice Development Nurse within Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is a permanent, part-time position of 22.5 hours. The role is part of the Nursing Professional Standards Team and will work across four acute hospital sites. Interviews are scheduled for 18/09/2025.
The post offers flexible working patterns (to be discussed at interview) and there may be an opportunity to negotiate retaining clinical hours within a relevant clinical setting if required. The Health Board is committed to bilingualism and welcomes applications from Welsh speakers; the ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
* Contribute towards the development of nursing practice that meets the needs of patients, their families and the organisation.
* Mentor or be involved in developing and delivering training and support for colleagues.
* Demonstrate effective facilitation skills that have achieved improvements in patient care and contributed to the ongoing professional and practice development of others.
* Communicate and work effectively with all grades and disciplines of staff; prioritise workload; think creatively to support innovation and maintain excellent organisational standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Nurse with relevant experience.
* Previous experience as a mentor or involvement with developing and delivering training and support.
* Proven facilitation skills and a track record of improving patient care through development activities.
* Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
