Shaw Healthcare is looking for an Activities Champion to join the team in Plas Cae Crwn. You will work in a team committed to making a difference to the lives of our service users and deliver the highest standard of care. You will use the latest care technology to spend more time with those you care for. Plas Cae Crwn has an excellent reputation as a highly valued provider of care. The needs of our service users are central to everything we do.
Responsible for providing stimulation and encouragement to residents through entertainment, activities and community links. Promote the Home by assisting with fundraising events and functions. Build good relationships with the service users and their relatives. Act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home.
Responsibilities
* Formulate an activity profile for each individual service user in liaison with care staff.
* Ensure the safe and proper use of all equipment.
* Maintain accurate and legible records of service users’ activities.
* Liaise with the senior nurse on duty regarding outings.
* Research prospective outings for access and toileting facilities.
* Liaise with senior care assistants for medical or nursing care information regarding service users.
