Please note this is a fixed term position for 18 months Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week, working a minimum of 40% across each month in the Territorial Headquarters, London, SE5 8FJ Interview Date: Week commencing 9th February 2026 We are seeking an IT Project Manager to deliver a variety of complex and large-scale IT projects. You will play a key role in our IT delivery team, collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders to implement the IT change roadmap and strategy. This role is crucial to ensuring we achieve maximum benefit from our investment in information technology, enabling us to continue The Salvation Army’s vital work across the UK & Ireland. The first project to be delivered will be the new Governance, Risk and Compliance System. This is a SaaS application which will support a stronger compliance culture and significantly reduce duplication and administration overhead. The IT Project Manager will: Develop and manage project plans with rigorous attention to budget, quality, and time criteria, reporting progress to ensure uninterrupted service and value for money. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to convey complex ideas/processes to non-technical audiences Support the adoption of new technology across the territory Coordinate technology changes with senior IT leaders and unit heads to mitigate service impacts. Adhere to, and support continual improvement in project management practices, policies, and documentation, adopting best practice developments. Own and resolve issues, collaborating with the wider IT team and stakeholders as needed. Need to be degree-educated (or equivalent practical experience) with a minimum of Prince 2 Practitioner certification. Need to have excellent experience in planning, managing, and delivering large IT change projects in complex, multi-disciplinary, and geographically dispersed organisations.
