Job Summary
At Avery Healthcare, we support our care team by providing high standards of personal care. The Care Assistant will contribute fully to the care team, ensuring continuity of services and upholding dignity, independence, and respect for all residents at Derby Heights Care Home, Littleover.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect at all times.
* Recognise and understand clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and signs of infections, and escalated identified risks timely.
* Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practice safe systems of work across a range of tasks.
About You
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative, respect toward residents and other people in the home.
* Efficient worker, able to carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Requirements
* DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
