Senior Solutions Architect, (Bahrain Nationals Only), Enterprise Greenfield — Job ID: 2940107. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced technologists who balance technical depth with strong interpersonal skills. As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you will help shape the future of digitally native customers by crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate AWS service adoption. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a set of Enterprise Customers, acting as a trusted customer advocate to help organizations understand best practices for advanced cloud-based solutions and migrating workloads to the cloud. You will help shape and execute strategies to build mindshare and broad use of AWS.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical, as is the ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
Responsibilities
* As a key member of the sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform in partnership with the sales team; formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS; the Solutions Architect owns the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and makes recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
* Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
* Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
* Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS Solutions Architect community.
* Engage with customers to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures; translate business requirements into technical solutions.

* Have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions; past experience as a systems engineer/architect is valuable.
* Keep technical skills honed and develop new ones to contribute to deep architecture discussions; participate in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class AWS solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
* 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
* 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
* Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
* Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
* Experience working in the Enterprise Greenfield space.
