Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors are required to support young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs in Buckinghamshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tutoring to young people with SEND, SEMH, and other educational needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support learners referred by local authorities and schools, addressing educational and social-emotional needs
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions that meet the learner’s needs and progress their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or other additional educational needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain available at cost)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker providing short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed number of hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
