Overview
Exciting opportunities at Walker Close. You will be joining a friendly, motivated and enthusiastic team who are on their journey to outstanding. The wards form part of the acute service for learning disability and autism, along with the Intensive Support Team (IST), who work with people in the community to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions or provide transitional support between services. The acute teams are part of a wider specialist service who all work closely together to create a seamless approach for the clients and their families.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrating quality and safety of the ward via a strong governance process.
* Escalating any safety concerns and acting to mitigate risks.
* Provide clear junior leadership to the in-patient team and foster a culture of safety and learning.
* Completing supervisions, appraisals, attendance and performance management.
* Running of the ward environments in absence of the Clinical Team Lead (CTL).
Requirements
To undertake this role you must hold current RNLD or RMN qualification. We are looking for someone who has knowledge and experience and an interest in working with and supporting people with Learning Disability and/or Autism. In addition, you would need leadership experience of working in a ward environment.
