Ideally, you will have experience of working within Specialist Services.You will ensure that a high quality service is delivered within this specialist area and that all National and Trust targets - standards are adhered to. Main duties of the job The post holder carries day to day responsibility for the operational management and delivery of services within the Eating Disorder Out-patient Teams across Stafford.You will ensure that a high quality service is delivered within this specialist area and that all National and Trust targets and standards are adhered to including the recording of information within the IT systems.You will be responsible for the management of staff within the team, leadership, the delivery and delegation of management supervision and ensuring appropriate management supervision takes place as per Trust Policy.o To work as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team for Eating Disorders within out-patient and community settings you may provide some assessment to individuals with eating disorders. This should be in accordance with NICE guidance.o To deputise for the Operational Lead as required.o To manage the day to day processes of the service such as sickness, leave and performance.o To support the Operational Lead with service delivery.o To lead the team in meeting quality control measures.o To hold a clinical caseload and be expected to work to the requirements of a Band 7 practitioner role appropriate to their profession. Job responsibilities Clinical • To contribute to the specialist assessment and treatment planning of clients referred to the Eating Disorders Team. • You will be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of your own work, including the management of service users in your care. Managerial • To manage designated team, exercising effectiveness and flexible budget control in order to stay within budgetary limits in conjunction with Operational Lead. • Ensure the delivery on key performance indicators and essential standards. • Day to day operational management of staff. Communication • To engage and develop effective therapeutic relationships with eating disorder clients to maximise their recovery potential and advance their understanding of the condition. • To use skills including motivational interviewing, psychoeducation and CBT specific to Eating Disorders. Documentation • To ensure that up-to-date written and electronic records and activity data are maintained in accordance with Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and Standards, and Health Professions Council standards, and Trust Guidelines. Professional ethics • To comply with the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct relating to the individuals professional group. • To contribute to the multi-disciplinary assessment of service users capacity to consent, gain valid informed consent and have the ability to work within a legal framework with service users who lack capacity to consent to treatment. Organisational • To deputise for the Eating Disorder Operational Lead as required. Research & practice development • To contribute to and support research and / or audit projects relevant to Eating Disorders and to disseminate findings at a local level as required. Qualifications & Training Essential • First Level professional nursing / AHP / Social Work Qualification in Mental Health or Nursing AHP. • Educated to First Degree level or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience (or willing to work towards). Desirable • Qualification in Leadership / Management. Experience Essential • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams. • At least 2 years post qualifying experience. • Demonstrate experience in performance management. • Experience in the direct line management of healthcare staff. • Experience of working within Specialist Services. Desirable • Experience of working within the eating disorder field. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Essential • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant healthcare policy. • Knowledge and experience of audit processes.
