Pay: £165 - £245 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-Time, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Supply Desk is excited to be working with a welcoming secondary school near Totton, Southampton, who are seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team from October 2025. This maternity cover will run until July 2026, teaching across KS3 and KS4.
You'll be joining a friendly and supportive Design & Technology department, where creativity, practical learning, and inspiring students are at the heart of everything they do. Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
* Delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Inspiring students to develop essential cooking skills, healthy eating habits, and a genuine love of food.
* Tracking and supporting student progress with constructive feedback.
* Playing an active role in curriculum development and the growth of the department.
* Maintaining high standards for learning, behaviour, and achievement.

What We're Looking For
* A degree in Food Technology, Design & Technology, or a related subject.
* QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
* Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage young learners.
* Enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for inspiring students through Food Technology.
