Responsibilities:
* Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and continuously developing staff. Building a motivated, high-performing team to increase the chances of store success.
* Analyzing sales data and financial reports to make quick, well-informed decisions alongside the Store Manager, identifying and responding to operational and commercial opportunities.
* Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
* Providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints professionally.
* Helping manage day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
* Supporting cash management tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
* Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
* Providing feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
* Supporting management in maintaining colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
Role objectives and KPIs:
* Contributing to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
* Driving all additional KPIs including, but not limited to, Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
* Achieving upselling or cross-selling targets.
* Maintaining a high Net Promoter Score.
* Ensuring stock accuracy during store audits.
* Ensuring all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
* Ensuring employee satisfaction, store, or engagement survey results meet or exceed company benchmarks.
* Assisting in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.
Skills and Experience:
* Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.
* Passionate about retail with a good understanding of the latest trends and competitors.
* Previous experience of coaching and developing individuals.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
* Experience in analyzing KPI data to make commercial decisions.
* Keen eye for detail and commerciality. Previous experience within visual merchandising would be advantageous.
* Ability to promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
