The UK operations are based at Summerfield Kidderminster, where we currently have 2 Calibration Technician vacancies.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance and Calibration Manager, the Calibration Technician will create and follow calibration procedures for various instrumentation, measurement, and testing equipment to ensure precision and accuracy according to company standards. Responsibilities include routine calibration, adjustments, scheduling, reporting, and maintaining audit readiness of calibration assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage calibration software and asset records.
* Maintain and develop calibration procedures.
* Ensure compliance with SHE and statutory safety, health, and environment requirements.
* Communicate issues impacting performance to management.
* Respond efficiently to calibration requirements.
* Maintain equipment standards and coordinate contractor visits.
* Use KPIs to monitor wear rates and report to management.
* Prepare for audits and manage calibration documentation.
* Assist with quality investigations related to calibration issues.
Experience and Background
Qualifications
Essential: Recognised Electrical/Mechanical qualifications (HNC, HND, BTEC Level 3 or above)
Desirable: Manufacturing experience
Experience
Essential: Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, proven calibration expertise, ability to read engineering drawings, experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS, creating calibration procedures, understanding calibration principles.
Desirable: Knowledge of ISO9001 standards for calibration.
