The Role: Finance Assistant
You’ll work closely with the Business & Finance Manager and support the day-to-day
finance operations that keep the business running smoothly. That includes keeping financial
records accurate, assisting with reporting, managing transactions, and supporting internal
processes.
Key Responsibilities:
•Maintain financial records using Sage
•Enter and process invoices, receipts, and payments
•Reconcile multiple bank and credit accounts
•Monitor daily cash flow and update stock sheets
•Assist with monthly and annual reports and VAT returns(including second-hand
margin scheme)
•Help prepare auction record spreadsheets and manage supplier payments
•Support with HR, risk assessments, and uniform tracking
What We’re Looking For:
You’re someone who’s confident using accounting software, highly organised, and able to
take ownership of your work.
You’ll need:
•AAT Level 3 or equivalent experience
•Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar
•Familiarity with systems like Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
•Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
•A proactive, team-oriented mindset
