Job Description
Raynesway, Derby, is seeking a Senior Nuclear Materials Engineer to join the Core Structural Integrity Department. This team specializes in materials testing, research, and development to support the design, manufacturing, and lifecycle assessment of nuclear components for the Rolls-Royce Nuclear Steam Raising Plant.

Responsibilities
1. Develop materials specifications for new products and processes.
2. Consult with manufacturing teams on process compliance and non-conformance issues.
3. Advance understanding of materials through R&D programs.
Candidate Requirements
* Degree in materials engineering or related field.
* Experience in safety-critical engineering environments.
* Knowledge of nuclear materials, fuels, and manufacturing processes.
* Experience in materials testing, analysis, and modelling.
* Strong communication skills, including report writing.
Additional Skills (Optional)
* Data analysis, automation, and modelling.
* Understanding of corrosion, irradiation effects, and safety substantiation.
Additional Information
This role requires UK security clearance, which Rolls-Royce will facilitate. Applicants must be UK nationals or dual nationals approved by MoD.
