Production SupervisorGloucestershireUp to £37,000 plus excellent overtime opportunitiesThe RoleWe are seeking a proactive and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a small operational team at an industrial process facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will oversee a team of three Process Operators, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in full compliance with all regulations.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys balancing day-to-day operational demands with continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and develop a team of Process Operators, fostering a positive and high-performing cultureMonitor plant performance, responding to alarms and process deviationsOversee daily operations, including feedstock management and plant maintenance activitiesMaintain accurate operational records and reportingEnsure compliance with all legislation, permits, and internal proceduresPromote and maintain high housekeeping standards across the siteOperate mobile plant machinery as requiredLiaise with maintenance teams and technical support functionsSupervise contractors on site, including issuing permits to workInvestigate incidents, near misses and safety concerns, reporting findings appropriatelyMonitor key performance indicators such as biogas production, plant efficiency and process healthCarry out first-line maintenance activitiesAbout YouWe're looking for a confident and capable leader with strong operational awareness and a commitment to safety.Essential:Experience in a supervisory or team leader roleStrong knowledge of health & safety practices in an industrial environmentAbility to interpret operational data and solve problems effectivelyExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalA proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detailDesirable:Experience in anaerobic digestion (AD), wastewater, or similar process-led environmentsFamiliarity with SCADA or process control systemsIOSH Managing Safely (or similar HSE qualification)What We're Looking ForA motivated self-starter with a strong safety mindsetSomeone resilient, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressureA team player who can build strong working relationships across all levelsA continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and developWorking Pattern42 hours per week4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern12-hour shifts (06:30 - 18:30)At Morgan Ryder we can provide you with a full range of employment opportunities from short term and fixed term temporary vacancies to permanent positions.We recruit for companies that operate in the following industries: Defence Equipment, Food and Drink Manufacturers, FMCG, Packaging, Engineering, Automotive, Aerospace, Warehousing, Logistics, Waste Management, Petro Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Power & Renewable Energy.Our commitment:Equal opportunities are important to us.
