Lecturer (Carpentry and Joinery)
Salary: £25,914 - £43,179 per annum
As a Lecturer (Carpentry and Joinery) you will provide direct support for learning to individuals or a small group of learners, over and above that which is normally provided in a standard learning programme.
What you will do as a Lecturer (Carpentry and Joinery)
* Deliver top-notch teaching to both Study Programme learners and apprentices
* Act as a mentor, motivator and occasional miracle-worker for your students
* Plan lessons, set assessments and help learners hit their targets (and not just with a nail gun)
* Bring your industry experience into the classroom to make learning real, relevant and rewarding
* Support learners with pastoral care and career guidance - because we care about the person, not just the portfolio
Experience/Qualifications of a Lecturer (Carpentry and Joinery)
* A Level 3 vocational qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience that proves you know your stuff)
* At least 4 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry
* A teaching qualification, or willingness to gain during employment
* A passion for passing on your skills and shaping the next generation of tradespeople
* Bonus points if you've mentored apprentices, coached colleagues or trained up the next site legend
