Were looking for a dynamic Events Sales Manager with a genuine passion for creating exceptional eventsfrom elegant weddings to standout corporate occasions. Join our marvellous team and play a key role in shaping memorable guest experiences in a luxury setting. This full-time position reports to the Director of Sales and offers the opportunity to build lasting client relationships, drive revenue, and bring each event to life from first enquiry to flawless delivery.
Location: The Old Government House Hotel, Guernsey

Key Responsibilities as an Events Sales Manager:
Ensure the smooth running of the Conference and Banqueting department.
Respond to daily enquiries and prepare proposals.
Process function sheets and communicate with the relevant departments.
Deal with and follow up on wedding enquiries and bookings.
Nurture and maintain relationships with clients, both corporate and agency based.

What are we looking for?
Proven experience working as an Events Sales Manager or in a similar role or a luxury hospitality setting.
A genuine passion for making someones wedding, dinner dance, or private event truly memorable, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in every event.
A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures, with relevant certifications being an advantage.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, ensuring an event runs smoothly from start to finish.
The ability to lead and mentor junior team members, supporting the development of a collaborative and motivated events team.
A proactive and adaptable approach, with the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the business and team.
The ability to stay calm under pressure, showing resilience and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
