Overview of Role:
As a cleaning operative, you will undertake cleaning duties across the site, ensuring a complete cleaning service is provided in compliance with CQC and Health & Safety Regulations. (The CQC ensures health services provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.)
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Ensure assigned areas are clean, presentable, and serviceable at all times to improve customer experience.
* Maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the hospital, adhering to operational standards.
* Present yourself professionally, courteously, and in accordance with company policies and values.
* Carry out cleaning and waste collection duties within designated premises.
* This role can be physically demanding, involving lifting from time to time.
* Perform comprehensive cleaning (floors, bins, vacuuming, bathrooms, dusting) meeting high hygiene standards.
* Assist with laundry duties and rotas if required.
* Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
* Take responsibility for your area, maintaining high standards.
* Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Comply with all statutory regulations at all times.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by your line manager.
About You:
* Good time management skills.
* Positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
* Friendly and helpful towards customers.
* Manage time effectively to complete tasks.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Good communication skills.
* An enhanced DBS check will be required.
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
