The Role
We are seeking a Senior Quality Inspector for our expanding Quality Control Department. The role involves assessing the quality of bespoke incoming and outgoing components to ensure production standards are met on high-performance projects, contributing to our success in top motorsport series.
The responsibilities include:
1. Full inspection of technical components from internal and external suppliers to ensure they meet our standards.
2. Operating measurement and testing equipment, including CMMs, micrometers, vernier calipers, gauge blocks, and visual inspection techniques.
3. Documenting inspection results and data in compliance with quality assurance protocols.
4. Identifying, logging, and reporting defects, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve issues.
5. Inspecting supplier certificates, auditing trails, and verifying certificate accuracy.
6. Providing feedback to Department Heads regarding quality outcomes.
7. Training and mentoring Junior Inspectors to promote best practices.
8. Driving improvements in quality assurance processes.
Candidate Profile
We seek a motivated team player with over 2 years of Quality Control experience. The ideal candidate is well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing busy workloads in a fast-paced environment.
Essential skills include knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and experience with CMMs using PC Dmis software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication and collaboration skills are also required. The candidate should be confident working independently and as part of a team, sharing our commitment to delivering top results.
