Autism Learning Support Assistant Autism Learning Support Assistant (Full Time, Temporary/Permanent) Birmingham, B12 0TP £92.56 - £105 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) September 2026 – Ongoing Job Summary Autism Learning Support Assistants are required to support pupils aged 2–19 with autism and complex needs within a specialist Birmingham school. The role focuses on communication, engagement and personalised learning support. The School and Role Calthorpe Academy is a large, well-established specialist school supporting pupils aged 2–19 with a wide range of complex needs. The school is seeking Autism Learning Support Assistants to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills and build independence. Working within a highly supportive environment, you will play a key role in helping learners achieve positive outcomes. Requirements The desired Autism Learning Support Assistant will have; Experience working with autism or additional needs desirable Strong communication skills A calm and patient approach Willingness to support personal care Ability to work effectively as part of a team What we offer As a Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
