We are seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and dedicated pharmacy team at Farnham Road Hospital in Guildford (GU2 7LX). Our organization operates across multiple sites, including inpatient units in Guildford, Silverwood Unit in Chertsey, Meadows in Epsom, and a Research and Development team at Two Bridges, Chertsey.
While previous mental health experience is advantageous, it is not essential, and we are committed to supporting your professional development in this area.
The ideal candidate will hold a BTEC and NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. An Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification is required for the Band 5 role. If not possessed, you may join as a Band 4 Technician and progress to Band 5 upon completing the necessary accredited course.

This role involves travel between our inpatient units at Farnham Road Hospital, Silverwood, and Meadows.
Main Duties:
1. Dispensing and issuing prescriptions.
2. Final accuracy checking of dispensed medicines.
3. Completing medicines reconciliation for assigned wards.
4. Providing medicines-related information and responding to inquiries from inpatients and community teams.
5. Managing the clozapine supply service.
6. Involvement in clinical trials dispensing and medicine preparation at our R&D unit, with training provided.
