Job Description
Key Responsibilities
3. Lead and manage all production activities across production operations on site
4. Own site production performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and waste
5. Translate business and site strategy into clear operational plans and priorities
6. Lead, coach, and develop a large operations team (3 direct reports, ~165 indirect)
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 6S, SMED, waste reduction, and OpEx
8. Deliver productivity, quality, and safety targets in line with site KPIs
9. Support major engineering and capital investment projects
10. Optimise working capital through improved inventory management
11. Build succession plans, capability development, and training programs across Operations
12. Act as a visible leader, role-modelling safety-first behaviours at all times
The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate ProfileYou'll be a confident, hands-on production leader with credibility to lead on the shop floor.You'll bring:
13. 5-7+ years' management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
14. Strong background in production leadership within complex operations
15. Proven experience delivering Operational Excellence / CI initiatives
16. Excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills
17. Strong commercial and financial awareness (budgets, cost control, KPIs)
18. Ability to make clear, timely decisions in a high-pressure environment
19. Engineering or Business degree preferred (Black Belt / advanced qualifications advantageous)
